The Malbec ‘Vie Cave’ from Fattoria Aldobrandesca - Antinori is a red wine from Southern Maremma. The name pays homage to the vie cave, ancient Etruscan paths carved into tuff that traverse the territory of Sovana and surround the estate's vineyards. The Malbec, a grape variety of French origin, finds here in the volcanic soils an exceptional terroir and matures for about ten months in French oak barrels. On the nose, ripe black fruit notes, cloves, and vanilla emerge, while the palate is balanced and soft, with silky tannins. Ideal with stewed wild boar in the Maremma style
