The Verdicchio Castelli Jesi Classico Superiore 'Palombare' by Campanelli is a fresh and dynamic white wine from the cru of Sasso di Serra San Quirico. 'Palombare' is the first wine produced by the Marche winery, made from grapes cultivated under organic conversion, with full respect for the land and the vine. The fresh and floral aromas blend with pleasant mineral nuances that return to the palate with pronounced savoriness and richness, inviting you to take another sip. An ideal wine to accompany springtime aperitifs among friends and dinners featuring fresh fish!

The Verdicchio dei Castelli di Jesi Classico Superiore ‘Palombare’ is a label with a strong territorial character, produced from grapes of a single vineyard located in the Palombare district in Sasso di Serra San Quirico, in the western part of the denomination. The high altitudes of the area and the proximity to the Apennine chain create a microclimate that is generally cooler with more significant temperature variations compared to the rest of the Castelli di Jesi territory. This is the basis for the brilliant freshness and rich aromatic heritage of this Verdicchio, strongly linked to the characteristics of its cru.

Campanelli Verdicchio dei Castelli di Jesi Classico Superiore ‘Palombare’ is a 100% Verdicchio from grapes grown according to organic farming principles in the Palombare vineyard, with plantings dating back to 1955 and 1991. Here, the altitudes range from 330 to 370 meters above sea level and the soil is medium-textured, characterized by the presence of clay, limestone, and sandy interlayers. Once ripened, the grapes are hand-picked into crates and subjected to a brief refrigeration before soft pressing. Only the free-run juice obtained is left to undergo static cold settling and then started on alcoholic fermentation at a controlled temperature. The mass then matures for 7 months in cement and steel tanks on the lees, with frequent batonnage, followed by at least 2 months of further aging in the bottle.

The Castelli di Jesi Classico Superiore Verdicchio ‘Palombare’ by Campanelli has a bright straw yellow color with greenish reflections. The nose unfolds with floral and herbaceous perceptions, enriched by mineral notes and hints of lemon and almond. On the palate, it is tense, fresh, and dynamic, characterized by a pleasant sapidity.
