The Gewurztraminer "Frauenrigl" by Peter Zemmer is a fragrant Alto Adige white wine from the Cortaccia wine area: it ages for a short period in stainless steel tanks and expresses an aromatic and intense sensory profile, with hints of exotic fruit, lychees, peaches, dried flowers, and passion fruit, while on the palate it is round, rich, fresh, and lively.

The Gewurztraminer "Frauenrigl" by Peter Zemmer is made from one of the most beloved grape varieties for its rich and intense aromatic profile, which makes it unique in the world. Originating from Central Europe, it is a variety that arose from a spontaneous mutation of the Traminer, which has adapted very well in South Tyrol for centuries, where it has found a second home, especially in the areas of Cortaccia and Termeno. The cool and sunny climate allows for the production of wines with intoxicating aromas and a soft, complex taste. It seduces from the very first sip with its broad and rich notes of flowers, spices, and exotic fruit.

The "Frauenrigl" Gewurztraminer comes from one of the most interesting estates in the Bassa Atesina, which manages vineyards in various areas of South Tyrol. The Peter Zemmer winery has preserved a territorial spirit, allowing it to produce straightforward and authentic wines. In agricultural tradition, the term Frauenrigl refers to a small plot that produces particularly prized grapes. The vineyard from which the Gewurztraminer originates is located on the hills above the small village of Cortaccia. The beautiful south-facing exposures and the soils composed of clay and limestone, allow for the production of perfectly ripe and aromatically rich clusters. The grapes undergo a gentle pressing to extract only the free-run juice, which ferments in steel tanks at a controlled temperature of 19 °C. Before bottling, the wine matures for 6 months in steel tanks.

The "Frauenrigl" Gewurztraminer from the Peter Zemmer winery stands out for its unmistakable aromatic character. It is a label of particular quality, expressing the best characteristics of the wines from the Cortaccia area, one of the most suitable in the region for the cultivation of this fascinating grape variety. In the glass, it presents a golden yellow color with brilliant reflections. The aromas are rich and enveloping, with floral notes, rose petals, clove, hints of ripe yellow fruit, passion fruit, lychee, soft spicy and honeyed sensations. The sip is particularly dense aromatically, broad and persistent, with a harmonious and balanced finish. It is an ideal white to serve with spicy or hot dishes from Indian, Asian, or North African cuisine.
