From our sommeliers

The Fosarin is born from the typical blend of Collio with Friulano, Malvasia, and Pinot Bianco, aged for 5 months in barrique. This Collio is a white wine of medium intensity and structure that offers a bouquet of anise, yellow peach, and yogurt, and on the palate impresses with its savoriness and persistence.

The rigor that characterizes the company style is found in all the wines of the Ronco dei Tassi winery, but the precision of the Collio Bianco "Fosarin" is unique. A truly convincing wine, with the dominant Pinot Bianco providing finesse and a discreet, never intrusive touch of wood, which gives it depth.

This splendid wine is the result of the will of Fabio Coser, the conductor of Ronco dei Tassi since 1989. A son of art, graduated in Conegliano in 1975, he lent his knowledge to leading Friulian companies for many years, until he decided to go out on his own. Over the years, the vineyards of Ronco dei Tassi have grown in the area that stretches from Monte Quarin to Monte Fosarin. Being collected within a park, they consist of many small plots bordered by woods, on very poor soils but rich in mineral salts, with careful and low-impact viticulture. One of the oldest vineyards owned by Ronco dei Tassi is precisely the one that gives life and name to this wine, the Fosarin: here there are vines that reach even sixty years of age.

The Collio Bianco "Fosarin" manages to encapsulate all the characteristicsof the territory in which it is born: a perfectly calibrated wine, capable of balancing perfectly between elegance and power, with a beautiful savory and fruity finish. A wine that is born from the firm conviction of the winery to cultivate the vineyard wisely and respectfully and, subsequently, to implement in the winery winemaking processes that avoid overpowering the flavors and aromas of the grape, but rather enhance the characteristics that the terroir imparts to them.
