The Chardonnay 'Seaward' from Spier originates in the South African Coastal Region, between the hills of Tygerberg and the vineyards of Stellenbosch, just a few steps from the Atlantic Ocean. The grapes are hand-picked in the early hours of the morning, and a brief contact with the skins precedes a winemaking process divided between steel and French oak barrique, with an aging of eight months on fine lees. On the nose, it offers notes of mandarin, lime zest, nectarine, and citrus flowers, with a hint of sweet almond. On the palate, it is fresh and savory, with a well-integrated mineral texture.
